Emotional balance. The path to inner peace and harmony. By Dr Roy Martina.

Dr Roy Martina is a doctor of medicine with over 30 years experience in the healing professions in holistic natural medicine he has combined the best of a number of different therapies.

Within his book Emotional Balance he has focused on a combination of self-hypnosis and the use of affirmations, kinesiology using specific points within the meridians, the chakras, combined with a deep understanding of spiritualism and the power of mind; coupling our abilities for self healing not only from the perspective of mind over matter, but also looking at the human condition from a holistic viewpoint that everything is connected to each other and also through time.

Roy Martina starts by laying out his philosophy in an easy non-authoritarian way which is well annotated throughout his book, with stories of some of his own experiences and case studies.
From the beginning, this book is laid out as a self-healing book with step by step exercises which are well thought out and explained in a way that gently motivates the reader to take action.

Roy advocates keeping a personal journal of all your experiences and exercises. As I reviewed my own experiences and looked back at my journey through Emotional Balance, at times it was like having Roy sitting with me and encouraging me to do the work. It is only when you take the time to reflect and review your own journal that you can really appreciate the healing journey you have made.

In short, you can take from this book what you need. It really isn’t important if you wholeheartedly agree with Roy’s philosophy, if you do the exercises you will definitely reap the rewards which is one of the powerful points that Roy Martina makes throughout his book. This is without a doubt coming from a man whose ambition is to help those that are ready to help themselves, Roy Martina leaves nothing out of his book and it is refreshing to find a self-help book that is not dedicated to selling you something else. What’s written on the label is exactly what sitting in the can, waiting for you to enjoy, a journey of healing to enable yourself to come to a better understanding of your own emotions and how they affect you, then moving on from understanding to healing.

This book is all about empowering you the read

Animal Speak

The Animal Guide Book to Accompany Your Meditation

During my mediations I frequently meet animals, what do they mean? What do they represent?
In my search for answers I came across this wonderful book by Ted Andrews. He vividly describes their attributes and then goes onto explain in tremendous detail what they represent if you have seen them in meditation or, if indeed, they have shown up in your life.
The book is written in four parts, part one describes and explains symbols in the natural world. Part two concentrates on birds and the five chapters deal with a lot of different aspects i.e. a dictionary of bird totems; feather magic. Part three, understanding animal medicine has a dictionary of animal totems and also detailed explanations of how to work with animal totems. The final part of the book, part four, is a magical journey with insects and reptiles; five chapters cover everything from representation to totems.
This books explains and describes many different aspects of the natural world for instance there is a wonderful description of ‘Cleansing the Aura with Feathers’; a very detailed list of the ‘Symbolic Quality of Trees’ and another one showing the ‘Symbolic Quality of Flowers’.
This book is a joy to read; it’s beautifully illustrated with drawings and photographs and is a very comprehensive book for those of us looking for the attributes of the natural world when it appears in our lives, either through meditation or the natural world that surrounds us.

This is the best animal guide book on the market. It is so refreshing to find a book that can be used both as a reference and that compels you to want to expand your understanding about the Shamanic Animal path. From this book you will learn how to identify your animal totem from your meditation experiences, understand what lessons and strengths it symbolises and learn to invoke its energy and use it for personal growth and inner discovery.

With over 400,000 copies sold, it is a best seller because of its depth of knowledge. The book seeks to give a good appreciation of not only the animals attributes and meanings. The book also directs you towards furthering your understanding of their prey and associations, seeking to provide a good working understanding of how to work with your animals with some excellent, easy to follow exercises.
Animal-Speak is both well indexed and illustrated. It is easy to read and understand. With 100 different animals, birds, insects and reptiles covered it creates a really comprehensive reference book for those who wish to develop their spiritual connection to the world and mystery of animal guides.

The 21 Golden Rules for Cosmic Ordering by Barbel Mohr

The 21 Golden Rules for Cosmic Ordering by Barbel Mohr. In this, her last book, she summarises all the ideas of her previous books to give a snapshot and allows the reader to master the concept of Cosmic Ordering.

The 21 Golden Rules for Cosmic Ordering by Barbel Mohr

Barbel Mohr has written many books on the subject of Cosmic Ordering, giving us a stockpile of influential books which help us to comprehend precisely how to attune to the Universe, to convert our aspirations into fact. The 21 Golden Rules of Cosmic Ordering is her last book as she sadly passed away in October 2010.

In this, her last book, she summaries all the ideas of her previous books to give a snapshot and allows the reader to master the concept of Cosmic Ordering. She has created many suggestions, lessons and meditations to allow you to see how your subconscious or creative visualisation is used in formulating your reality, helping you to join with your inner power, in order to make Cosmic Ordering fundamental to your daily life.

Barbel’s theory, is that our feelings influence our thoughts and if we don’t change the way we feel about things, nothing will change. A thought is a form of energy. Einstein proved that energy is matter E=MC2. Every thought we produce is related to an actual formation of matter, which is why it is so important to formulate your thoughts as something to meditate upon, and include in your daily meditation.

This book encapsulates all the tenets of her other books and at the beginning she explains how to work with this book. Very simply she suggests that when you have read the exercises for each rule, you can them add your own affirmations and thoughts to create your own guided meditation and thereby create your own cosmic order, be it a request for prosperity whether that is solely economically based, however, prosperity and wealth is not only the realm of economics, but also your spiritual wealth and development. Although some would say that the cosmic ordering should form part of our own akashic records, this is not something that the author has looked into in great depth. Although for my own part I feel that cosmic ordering and the akashic are one and the same.

Barbel has created a practical handbook and takes you step by step through the process of Cosmic Ordering. At the very end of the book she has even inserted sever ‘Express Order Forms’ which really simplifies the whole process.

Feng Shui for the Soul

Denise has written a totally absorbing book, she states that ‘Your home is the connecting point between heaven and earth. It is the place of your center, your axis; it connects you to the land’.

Book Review Feng Shui for the Soul

Denis Linn is an international lecturer, healer and writer and her book Sacred Space, initiated the Space Clearing movement.

Feng Shui for soul is a book of three parts. In the first section she shows us how to create a home for the soul. In the second section she looks at how to awaken the natural forces in the home and in the third and last part, she introduces the reader to Medicine Wheel Feng Shui.

If you are looking for a book that is traditional Feng Shui, then this isn’t the book for you. What Denise tells us in Feng Shui for the Soul is a wonderful interweaving of Feng Shui, spiritualism, healing and instinct.

In the first part of the book Denise examines the Soul through a personal story and then goes on to outline what the soul needs, a sense of belonging, a feeling of security, harmony with nature and sacred space. She then goes on to explain how to achieve this. Throughout, the book there are short meditative journeys that she has created in order for the reader to connect with their home and find out what the soul needs.

She uses grounding, spiritual growth and nature and a lot of visualisation as she guides us through each stage of growth. She looks at how the objects in our home influence us, in order to express our individuality.

Feng Shui is used instinctively and doesn’t confirm to the strict regime that other Feng Shui authors aspire to. It it’s not broken, don’t fix it. If it feels good, then it’s good Feng Shui.

In the second part of the book, Awakening Natural forces, Denise shows us how to activate the forces of nature into our lives and bring the rhythm of nature into our homes. She then talks about sacred geometry and what it represents to us now and follows this with a graphic description the elements and how to integrate them into our lives. It’s absolutely fascinating, with so much detail and information, Again this section has many short meditations which allow you to connect to e.g. The Spirits of the directions, Invoking the Four Guardians of the Cardinal Directions into your home.

The last part of the book is about the ‘Medicine Wheel Energy Map’. She uses the principle of the 4 elements and directions to create a home balanced by the transformation energy of the Medicine Wheel; she calls the Medicine Wheel Feng Shui.

Denise has written a totally absorbing book, she states that ‘Your home is the connecting point between heaven and earth. It is the place of your centre, your axis; it connects you to the land’.

creative meditation & visualisation David Fontana

Creative Meditation & Visualization

Realise your mental power through creative meditation & visualisation

Dr. David Fontana is a prolific writer of books on meditation, dreams, spirituality, psychology and psychical research.
In this book, Creative Meditation and Visualization, Dr.David Fontana peels back the layers and uncovers one of the powers of the human mind, through visualisation.
He dispels the common placed belief that our minds have no power and explains how this has arisen and why scientists have not investigated, in any depth, the relationship of the mind to our bodies. He states that the medical profession have only just started to realise that mental power can be used, by way of visualisation, to help heal our physical bodies.
In this book he has combined meditation and visulisation and teaches us how to combine the two disciplines in order for us to discover the extent of our cerebral capability.
Visualisation means to imagine a picture in your mind. Dr. David Fontana shows how visualisation becomes extremely powerful when used with guided meditation. When an image that
is visualised is used in conjunction with guided meditation, it becomes an effective tool. Meditation itself helps us to establish the capability of focus, so that we can see
visualised pictures more clearly and aids concentration. The application of visualisation when meditating has been shown to have very good
results within an extensive variety of undertakings. Examples are healing our own body; enhancing athletic achievement and encouraging ingenuity.
This is a fascinating book, well written and thoroughly researched with chapters on ’What is visualization and why does it work’, through to ‘Visualization and Spiritual
Development’.
